Incoming Apprentice w/ student loan debt:vs_worry:

Hey guys /gals, I'm currently 19 and attended one year at a university. I realized it wasn't for me and made the decision to no longer continue studying and pursue a career in plumbing. I have an interview for a position lined up for next week. Although I will be receiving an income as an apprentice, I currently have $17,500 I will have to pay for student loans. I will be living at home for free while being an apprentice. Any advice for paying off my debt? Is it possible to pay it off in a year or year and a half?
