Have you ever seen this faucet before???

I thought I was tangling with a Peerless tub and shower faucet probably from back around 1970.... I had to cut the cam off the bonnett thinking I would just install the parts and be on my way....

Then I had this brass ball staring at me somehow built into the faucet body..and a SS steel bonnet that floated over the delta washers inserted into the ball with the springs... The washers blew out and fell into the tub.....

I attempted to grease it all back up but I knew I was boned

then I tore it out and installed a new faucet

So what brand of junk is this as I have never stumbled into anything like this in 60 years....

It looks or appears like a proto-type or something Delta put out before they came out with the moving ball.....except its ass backwards.... ??

Any ideas what this pig is???
