Funny/interesting customer conversations

I was talking with an 85+ year old widower customer and during the conversation in his slow old man dialect he says “my wife and I were married 50+ years, she passed away 14 years ago”. As I’m about to say the obligatory sorry for your loss comment. He says “so, that’s been 14 years of peace and quiet”. I couldn’t help laughing at that line.
