Cisterns

I have seen a large number of them, I think I have posted the odd picture here or there. Here is a wooden cistern hanging on the wall. This is the first I have seen made of wood. It is also the first I have seen that wasn't tied to a pump Instead it has a large spigot. I didn't see any pipes leading to it or evidence of a lid. I assume the basement used to hold animals and this was just storage for water to be used in bad weather or night when you wouldn't want to go out to the well.
