Kenmore Dishwasher 517 - Help

I am installing a Kenmore Dishwasher 517 and have found that there is an additional hose that I believe is a drain hose for a disposal unit. I have attached the main drain hose and was curious if I could just cap this other one off as I do not have an ability to drain this to my sink and do not own a disposal unit.
