Greetings from central New York

I am a full-time college student, and I like to do handy work around my home. I had a fellow do this before, but he fell off the face of the Earth.

I am proactive in reducing the moisture in my basement. I've tried Damprid, which worked well, I am also trying diatomaceous earth (the ingredient in kitty litter to clump urine). Well, opening the windows on dry days also helps. I live in a very moist climate, lots of snow in the winter, a good amount of rain now.
