How to justify new tool purchase
I have a customer that someday needs a 1.5" valve on a copper line to be changed.
Right now im rolling around with the handheld turbo torch which Ive used successfully up to 1-1/4" in the past. I'm thinking for this job I'd need the bigger setup. That is not to mention an entire stick of copper pipe when I need less than a foot and probably a jet swet because I know the building wont stop draining.
Ive bought small tools for jobs when I know the job will cover it, but in this case I know it definitely will not.
How do you manage this kind of stuff?
