Aluminium bong transition???
I have been tasked with water piping our new rig at my firehall where I volunteer. It's an aluminium water tank with a 2" bong at the bottom and I have to go up and over to a 2" male connection on a pump that is steel but I'm not sure if I can use galvanized pipe or if that galvanized and aluminium will corrode???
I would like do it in metal and not PVC if possible because I would hate for someone to throw a shovel or something up and break the PVC.
My question is whether I can use galvanized pipe with the aluminium? or if I should do it in sch80 PVC?
Not connected to this but can you thread PVC pipe like black iron? Just curious.
