Why do they want my tax # ?

Putting in an order for work stickers from Lambel corp.

They have a information packet they wish to have you fill out
that includes some information that seems way to personal considering
all the data breaches of late.

They want a w-9, if I'm incorporated and a whole lot more.

I've bought many work related things over the web and never was
asked for anything much more than my Credit Card number.

Anyone else ?
