Copper vs Iron compressed air line

We roughed in a auto shop this past month, and they called for 3/4 copper air line. Theres been a continuing project thats going to be a teardown facility for a remanufacturing business, and we have been running a 3" iron loop there. Any advantages or disadvantages to either material?
